The Base Collective understand that your personal information is just that, personal.
When we collect your information, we use it only as part of the buying and selling process and, where you have permitted, to contact you about new products, great ideas or just to say hi.

Section 1 – What do we do with your information?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, email address and mobile phone number.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information through cookies that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing: We will periodically send emails to the address you provide so that you can find out more about our store, new products and other updates.
SMS text marketing: With your permission, we may send you SMS messages about our store, new products and other updates. This SMS message program is a service of The Base Collective. By providing your mobile number, you agree to receive recurring automated promotional and personalised marketing text messages. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT.
We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the site. More information about how Google uses your personal information can be found on Google’s Privacy Policy page. You can opt out of Google Analytics using their opt-out browser add-on.
As described above, we may use your personal information to provide you with targeted advertising or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.

Section 2 – Consent
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent?

Section 4 – Shopify
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online eCommerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase and is then deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to PCI-DSS standards as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council.
Section 5 – Third-party services
Third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.
Some providers, such as payment gateways, have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies to understand how your information will be handled.
Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party site, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.
Section 6 – Security
We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Credit card information is encrypted using SSL technology and stored with AES-256 encryption. While no method is 100 percent secure, we comply with PCI-DSS requirements and additional accepted industry standards.
